Shanghai team packs school supply kits for students from rural communities
01 September 2026

The focus

The Shanghai team came together for a meaningful volunteer event supporting students at Happy Time No. 11 Primary School in Shangcun Township, Huize County. The initiative focused on preparing school supply kits for 50 enrolled students, many of whom travel from remote mountain communities to live and learn at the school.

Our efforts

During the two-hour activity, team members hand-packed stationery kits with donated items and materials, helping ensure students received practical supplies to support their learning. The school serves as Huize County’s only boarding facility after merging with several smaller village schools, making the team’s support especially meaningful for students from the surrounding rural region.

The impact

The event reflected the Shanghai team’s commitment to giving back through hands-on service and collective participation. What began as a simple volunteer activity became a practical show of support for children in a rural mountain community, while giving colleagues an opportunity to connect their time and effort to a meaningful local need.

“For us, this wasn’t just about donating supplies; it was about connecting with young lives who have overcome so much hardship just to get an education and hoping to spark a little more hope for their future,” said Aileen Li, Office Manager at Triton International.
